Service was quick and friendly. Food was good. We will go back. I had ham and eggs. Husband had sausage and eggs. Nothing was greasy.
Nice warm atmosphere! Food was good, warm and a decent value. Our waitress was taking care of a lot of tables so was a little slower, but understandable as to why. Overall she was friendly and brought out our food hot. So no complaints overall
A friend took me there for breakfast. It was so good I brought my husband there the next morning. The food was made fresh to order. The sopapillas! YUM. My husband ordered the burrito breakfast. It covered the whole platter! I didn't think he'd be able to eat half of it but he was determine to not leave a single bite. Servers are friendly. Even when the place is packed they do their best to keep your coffee cup filled. If you are lucky the man who started the business will be there and comes around to greet people. It's under new ownership but if he has a free moment from cooking he'll come out and say hello as well. Going there is becoming a habit for us. We went for lunch one day as well. I had the small taco salad and it was enough. (I can't handle chile - too hot for me!) My husband had another smothered burrito and loved every bite.
Looking for someplace different than the usual places. Asked a man on the street best place in this town for breakfast, he recommended here. The place is small, looks like you're lucky to get 50 people in here. Service was quick, as soon as I sat down they brought coffee with cream. Coffee is nothing special but it is good. Yes, I'm a coffee snob. The place is at the far end of a building. They also do catering. I like that they support the community, there are posters on the wall and the tables have local business cards in them. A real New Mexico restaurant as they offer red or green with any order. OMG, if their breakfast is any telling of the food. I will have to come back. The biscuits and gravy cooked just right, with sausage and green chili has a kick to it! Biscuits are so soft! Wow!! Have to say. Food is delicious!! Price was not bad at all. I recommend you come eat the great food!! Everyone was welcoming said good morning the atmosphere is great.
Food was excellent, service was awesome both days we visited. Highly recommended hometown establishment. This has all the feels of northern New Mexican hospitality while making you feel like you are family. Definitely a spot to come to if you are in the Belen area. We only had breakfast here but I am confident that lunch and dinner would not disappoint either! The ambiance reminds me of what only the best hometown establishments can give, not your run of the mill corporate franchise. 5 stars!!!
